What have you done for your Karma lately?

Welcome to your good karma journey!

Karma Calendar is a playful approach to a daily practice of gestures of simple kindness. The guiding principle behind Karma Calendar is that if we practice good karma daily, it becomes a part of who we are. Daily tasks might include sending a note to a faraway friend, listing things you are grateful for, or holding a door for someone.

Much like the familiar advent calendar, Karma Calendar invites you each day to open a door to reveal a little bead, along with a suggestion for a deed of kindness to carry out. Following through with these daily tasks is very gratifying, and at the end of 27 days, the beads you’ve gathered can be strung together to make a bracelet, much like a mala, a string of prayer or intention beads. There you have it – a kit of kindness!

Wearing the bracelet daily after your month of good deeds has a way of reminding you that a good karma gesture is accessible to you and for you at any moment.

Kindness is contagious, you might say. Sharing this practice with others is satisfying and really fun! You might try it with your kids, your classroom, your co-workers or your family.

Every time I look at my good karma bracelet I’m reminded of the power of spreading kindness.
